Energy Trading Software Print E-mail

Adica is a worldwide provider of cutting-edge analysis software that enables our clients to succeed in evolving energy markets. Our EMCAS software offers advanced analytics used to more accurately model and better understand the behavior of electricity market participants.  EMCAS is used to obtain unique and valuable insights for:  • Bidding Strategy Evaluation  • Asset Optimization  • Price Forecasting  • Risk Management  • Competitor Analysis.

In a survey carried out by Energy Risk magazine, 65% of respondents said their budget for software procurement will increase. The most common reason for seeking out new software cited by respondents to the Energy Risk survey was dissatisfaction with existing Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems. This denotes not only the fact that external changes are putting new demands on software systems, but also that companies are now ready to invest in new IT systems, rather than putting up with unsatisfactory practices.

In response to the growing need for improved software tools for analyzing energy markets, many software providers attempt to integrate legacy systems. In contrast, Adica continues to innovate by leveraging research and development activities at Argonne National Laboratory. Adica specializes in the application of innovative agent-based modeling software developed in collaboration with Argonne to provide unique and valuable insights for our clients.

Independent reviews of energy market software conducted by Deloitte Consulting, The Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research, and others point to EMCAS as a "best-of-class" solution for analyzing electricity markets.

Since the initial product launch in August 2005, the EMCAS software has been licensed for use by a wide spectrum of clients (e.g., electric utility, transmission company, regulatory agency, research center and university) in Asia, Europe and North America.
